Specializing in MULTI-FAMILY and mixed-use construction, the Carter & Carter team has successfully completed Student housing, Market rate, and senior living projects across the southeastern United States. It is our goal to deliver projects within budget and on-time without sacrificing safety, quality, or integrity.
As a general contractor, Carter & Carter joins the project team near the end of the design phase. Given project drawings and documents, Carter & Carter develops a bid proposal that is presented to the owner either through a hard bid or negotiated contract. Once a project is awarded, Carter & Carter works collaboratively with the owner and designers to ensure the project is a success. While Carter & Carter self-performs some trades, most work is subcontracted.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT (AT-RISK)
Construction Management “At-Risk” allows Carter & Carter to become involved in the process prior to the completion of the project drawings and documents. The company serves as a consultant during the design phase and functions as a general contractor during the construction phase. Carter & Carter guarantees both the cost and schedule for the project.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT (AGENCY)
As a Construction Manager “Not At-Risk”, Carter & Carter serves as an agent between the owner and all parties involved in the construction process. While Carter & Carter holds no contractual relationship with subcontractors, suppliers, or designers, they effectively manage these individuals to ensure that the project meets the owner’s expectations.
On Design-Build projects, Carter & Carter handles all aspects of the construction process. The company hires and works collaboratively with the architects and engineers to develop a quality yet cost effective product for the owner. Design-Build projects benefit the owner by providing a single source for accountability, a single contact if questions arise, and value-based project feedback.
Carter & Carter uses the latest innovation and technology to keep owners informed and keep the project on schedule and on budget. Utilizing Procore software, construction progress can be monitored on a computer or mobile device from any location in real-time.
